Lodging Options

How Rooms Work
There are two types of lodging options at Encounter Cove.
The first option is to just pay for your own bed. If you choose this option, we’ll match you with other same-gender roommates around your age in one of the dorm rooms. Dorm rooms sleep sixteen people in two conjoining rooms. You do not have to find roommates if you choose this option (though you may request one roommate while purchasing your room. There will be a designated parent supervisor in each pair of conjoining rooms.
The second option is to pay for a full room and then find roommates to split the cost with you. You may do this with any of the three types of rooms (dorms, cabins, lodges). Reserving a room is like reserving a hotel–one person is responsible for reserving the room and paying the bill. They are then responsible for gathering payments from their roommates if splitting the cost.
(Update: Because of limited availability, lodge rooms are designed to be used by families, since the gender mix makes it challenging for them to take advantage of the dorm room options. We encourage YDubbers to choose the dorm room option if they aren’t booking with their family.)
(Not sure how to find a roommate? Click here to join the space we set up in the YWW Community where you can find other roommates!)
As you review our lodging options below, be aware that there are a limited number of rooms for each room type. Book early to guarantee your favorite room option!
Dorm Room (Single Bed)
This is the most affordable option. There are four bunk beds in each room, and each room is conjoined with a second room (no door between the conjoining rooms). The rooms will share two bathrooms between them. You must bring your own towels & linens. You do not need to find roommates if you choose this option (though you may request one roommate while registering); you will be paired with other same-gender roommates around your age.
